When somebody asks about a Free Antivirus, AVG is the first thing that comes into my mind.  I have been using it for the last five years without any problem.  It has been the most downloaded free antivirus software on the Internet.  Continuous updates make it strong and can catch any virus.   It has also been bundled in Google Pack, which is now discontinued.
